IOSJ and Junior Z collaboration: gym class competition

Physical education should be the main lesson at school, which would form healthy habits, motivate physical activity, cheer up morale, and nurture a better lifestyle of Ukrainians. It is obvious that gym classes at schools do not give such a result now. Therefore, the public organization Junior Z by Olexander Pedan wants to change the system, reform the educational approach, and train physical education teachers. We fully share these values.

Recently, the Junior Z team launched a YouTube channel with interesting and inspiring online gym classes for students of all ages and their parents. And furthermore, they held a competition among teachers to award the best. We were very happy to join this initiative and prepare cash prizes.

114 teachers from 39 cities across Ukraine took part in creating lessons. They sent 289 videos! Therefore, it is no wonder that the Junior Z jury had a difficult task to choose the most creative options for the approach to physical education. So they announced three winners. They are Svitlana Vyshnya, Dmytro Lazebny, and the author's team from the Khortytskyi Child Development Center preschool.

We hope that together we will be able to change the idea of physical education at school and motivate students to play sports.
